Bhatkal: The Indian Nawayath Forum (INF), comprised of eight Bhatkal Jamaats established in various cities across India, orchestrated a one-day conference on Sunday at a resort in Bangalore. The conference brought together representatives from ten distinct Bhatkal Jamaats based in different cities within the Gulf region, along with delegates from the Canara Muslim Khaleej Council. The primary focus of the conference was to address the challenges faced by the people of Bhatkal and its surrounding areas. During the event, several proposals were deliberated upon and subsequently approved.
Drawing inspiration from the renowned "Lifeline Foundation" in Bangalore, a project was introduced with the objective of fostering growth and motivation among small entrepreneurs in Bhatkal and the surrounding regions. This initiative aimed to provide opportunities through interest-free loans for individuals interested in launching small businesses. The proposal received significant acclaim from the attendees and was granted approval. Jb. Arshad SM - President INF, mentioned that this initiative is inline with empowering businessmen who are struggling to establish their business without compromising on ethical practices, which will bring signficant impact in the socio-economic development of our society.. To steer this project forward, a dedicated committee was established. Notably, various Philantrophists and Businessman pledged substantial financial contributions in support of the project.
In alignment with the practices of the well-established Rehbar Financial Service in Bangalore, another project was presented to the attendees. This project centered around a private equity fund, aiming to channel the funds of individuals who hold idle money in banks or those looking to invest their capital into businesses. The proposed plan outlined how these funds could be utilized to initiate new business ventures. During the conference, Mohammed Ali Sharif, a partner of all three organizations - Lifeline Foundation, Rehbar Financial, and Mount Judy Ventres - provided detailed presentations elucidating their respective institutions' operations and the benefits they extend to the public. The importance of opening up such institutions to the community for fostering business growth in diverse sectors was emphasized. These institutions expressed their readiness to extend full support and guidance should INF decide to establish a similar organization for the betterment of the Bhatkal community.
In a separate proposition, the conference discussed the establishment of an international-level school. Muaz Jukaku shared that this investment proposal presents an exceptional opportunity to participate in shaping the future of education through a state-of-the-art school project, and a final decision was pending regarding its location, with options including Mangalore, Bangalore, or Madikeri. The attendees responded positively to this initiative, and consensus was reached to proceed with the project. Alongside these discussions, the conference addressed numerous other pertinent issues, leading to crucial decisions being made.
Mr. Gufran Lanka introduced the concept of establishing a Global Community Database—a centralized digital repository containing information and resources tailored to the local community. He emphasized the numerous advantages of creating and effectively utilizing such a comprehensive database.
The event, which spanned from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday, hosted by INF at a resort in Bangalore, proved to be a pivotal gathering. It attracted participants from Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat, Bengaluru, and delegates from various cities including Bengaluru, Mangalore, Madikeri, Kerala, Chennai, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, and Kolkata. Furthermore, representatives from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Qatar, Muscat, and Bahrain were present, representing the corresponding Jamaat chapters. The Canara Muslim Khaleej Council also participated in the conference.
Leading the meeting, INF President SM Arshad not only guided the proceedings but also extended gratitude to all the delegates. He stressed the importance of collective efforts within our community and society to attain greater success. He also emphasized the significance on moving beyond mere giving charity and concentrating on enhancing the overall socio-economic development of our community.
Skillfully managing the discussions, INF General Secretary Nauman Patel acted as the moderator. During this significant event, INF Founder President Abdul Majeed Jukaku was honored for his invaluable contributions.
