Bhatkal: In a tragic incident reported near Gorte in Bhatkal taluk, a young labourer lost his life after falling from a moving train.

The deceased has been identified as Abhinash Kumar (28), a native of Bihar, who was working as a daily wage labourer.

According to sources, he was travelling on the Mangaluru–Lakshadweep Express train from Nizamuddin to Ernakulam. The incident occurred when the train was passing near Gorte in Bhatkal taluk, during which he reportedly lost his balance and fell off the train, resulting in his death on the spot.

A case has been registered at the Bhatkal Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
