Bengaluru: In a significant step to promote Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage and tourism, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, along with Minister for Tourism and Parliamentary Affairs H.K. Patil, unveiled photographs of Karnataka’s iconic tourist destinations at Vidhana Soudha and Vikas Soudha.
The collection includes UNESCO-listed sites such as the Chennakeshava Temple in Somanathapura, the Vishnu Temple in Badami, and several other historic landmarks like Hampi and Mysuru’s royal attractions. The initiative also highlights Karnataka’s architectural wonders like the Gol Gumbad in Vijayapura, Veer Narayan Temple in Gadag, and traditional cultural activities like Yakshagana and Kambala.
This endeavor by the Tourism Department aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of these state buildings while promoting Karnataka’s art, culture, and cuisine.
During the event, the Chief Minister also launched the new year calendar by the Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation, showcasing key tourist destinations. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Tourism Secretary Salma K. Fahim, Director of Tourism Dr. K.V. Rajendra, and other senior officials.
