Mangaluru: A 56-year-old man, Rajendra Kurupu, originally from Kerala, tragically took his own life on Monday in Suratkal.

The distressing incident involved him setting fire to his rented residence. Rajendra, a bike technician, had been grappling with depression and had been living in isolation for the past 15 years, separated from his family. 

Suratkal police have registered a case.
