Massive CCTV Deployment to Revolutionize Karnataka's Security: Home Minister G. Parameshwara

Bhatkal: Home Minister G. Parameshwara declared the government's unwavering commitment to a comprehensive modernization initiative for the Karnataka police system. 

The announcement came during the inauguration of newly constructed police quarters at Bhatkal Police Grounds on Sunday evening.

Highlighting the ambitious project, Minister Parameshwara revealed plans to deploy state-of-the-art technology to bolster the efficiency of the police force.

Thousands of CCTV cameras are set to be installed across the state to facilitate advanced monitoring and detection of criminal activities. The government aims to establish a centralized system connecting the traffic management of individual police stations with the central office, promising a substantial enhancement in overall police infrastructure.

Addressing the unique challenges faced by the police department, the Minister outlined a meticulous procedure for inter-district police transfers. Applications submitted through a designated app will undergo careful consideration, taking into account factors such as the spouse's employment, health, and other relevant considerations.

Minister for fisheries, ports and inland water transport Mankal S Vaidya, Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Manakar, Uttara Kannada SP Vishnuvardhana N, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, and many others were present.
