Karwar: Around 1556 candidates out of 4183 were seen absent in the First Division Clerk examination that was held in 18 different centers in Karwar.

The first half of the day had a General Knowledge examination paper for which 2636 candidates were present, while 1547 were absent. In the second half, the English and Kannada examination were conducted to which 2627 students attended and 1556 remained absent.

Disappointing was that the examination centers witnessed the absence of students in huge number.
