Kundapur: A 20-Year-Old bike rider died after he was being hit by a speeding lorry in Bidkalkatte region under Kota police station limits near Kundapur on 4th November, Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shankar Kulal, a resident of Haladi.

The incident happened when the deceased Shankar on his bike was on the way to Manipal from Haladi, while the lorry was in the opposite direction. Both went on colliding head-on, critically injuring the rider. An attempt was made to take him to the nearby hospital immediately after the incident. But unluckily, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

About the deceased, it was said that he had recently completed his education in hotel management.

A case has given registered in Kota police station in this regard.
