Udupi: In a head on collision between a bus and a bike, a youth lost his life here at Malpe on 12th February, Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Naik (25), a resident of Someshwar in the district.
According to sources, Manjunath was on his way to Hoode on his bike when a bus coming from the opposite direction rammed into his bike at Malpe, just 300 metres away from the police station.
The impact was so severe that even his helmet split open. Manjunath was immediately rushed to the hospital by way declared brought dead by the doctors.
A case has been registered at Malpe police station.
