Kumta: A total of 29 students have been selected for the State-level Inspire award for Science exhibition from Kumta. This Science expo was conducted by the district administration, Science & Technology Department, DSERT and Education training Institute.

In the expo held here, a total of 294 students from Uttar Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi took part.

Science experts I K Naik, Geraldo Pinto and Raghuveer Nayak were the judges to the event. The students selected for State-level award include, Vivekananda Kenganal, Nitish Achari, Madhu Manjunath Naik, Sugnan Shetty, Prashanth Kodi, priya Sumale, Ganesh Acharya, Muhamamd Simak, Gouri Devadiga, Kavita Naik, Nagaraj Naik, Shanmukh Chakrasali, Monica Madiwal, Sarika Mulla, Bhargav Bhat, Maneesh, Sayyed N B, Shrilakshmi Hegde, Sharanya, Swapna K S, Neha Mesta, Rakshita Naik, Koushalya Naik, Ajwin D’Souza, Touhid Ahmad, Sharath, Mokshit K V, Chandrashekar Goud, and Sonali S.

The certification distribution ceremony was held under the chairmanship of DIET Principal Eshwar Naik.
