Yellapur: At least four persons were injured after the car in which they were traveling in went on colliding with a truck, in an incident that happened near Idagundi region in the taluk on Sunday evening.

It is informed that the accident happened when the car was on the way towards Yellapur from Ankola, while the truck was in the opposite direction. The reckless and negligent driving of the car is reported as the reason for the accident. The injured victims are Basavaraj Mallikarjun Suganur, Raghvendra Shetty, Raghvendra Hanumanthyya and Shrinivas Padmanabhayya. All are said to be as the residents of Raichur.

The injured were shifted to Yellapur govt hospital.

A case stands registered in Yellapur police station.
