Karwar: A 45 year-old man was killed on the spot after the bike on which eh was travelling was hit by a car on top of the Kali river bridge near Kodibag on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinod Naik, a resident of Sarvodayanagar, according to police officials, the accidents took place while Vinod was returning from Sadashivagad when the car driven by Guruprasad Savanth hit him. Karwar Traffic police station officials have registered case.
