Bhatkal: It was a herculean task for the local fishermen of Bhatkal to bring the fishing boat, which had sunk in Arabian Sea on May 29 to the shores on Sunday.

The boat was found in the sea waters of Belke in Bhatkal taluk on Saturday. There local boats were pressed into service to bring the drowned boat to shores. More than 25 local fishermen dragged it out.

It can be recalled here that on May 29, one of the two fishing boats from Tamil Nadu drowned in Arabian Sea. While the coastal guards succeed in rescuing four fishermen, two are still missing. A search for them is still on, said officials.
