Bhatkal: A one day state level fest by title "Hunar’18" was organised at Anjuman Degree College and PG Centre here by M.Com department students on 19th March, Monday.

The fest consisted of three events: Art-o-Act (Mime), Satholiya (Lagori) and Canvas painting. Around 150 students from various colleges had participated in the fest.

“The fest includes three different types of talents (Hunars) namely Spiritual Hunar for mime, Physical Hunar for Satholiya and Mental Hunar for Canvas painting”, said the chief guest of the event, Dr. Pavananjai during the inaugural function.

Students from Team Apache of Guru Sudhindra College bagged the first prized in Satholiya, while the Team Ninja Boys from Anjuman Degree College were the runner ups.

In Art-o-Act event, the first and third places were bagged by the girls from Anjuman College for Women, while students from Guru Sudhindra college bagged the second prize.

Anjuman College girls won the first place in Canvas painting for theme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, while the second and third place were taken by girls from Guru Sudhindra college.

Qualified judges with experience were invited to judge the events which made the programme a great success.

Another key point of the fest was that the Muslim girl students were provided an opportunity to perform in Art-o-Act and they made effective use of it.

The program was presided over by Vice President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal Abdul Rahaman Damudi.

Mementos were presented to the organizing M.Com team by the management to acknowledge their role and effors in successfully organizing the event.

Anjuman General Secretary Ismail Siddique, College Board Secretary Javeed Hussain Armar, Abdul Rahmaan Batin were present during the event.
