Bhatkal: The 78th annual social gathering of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS) and Anjuman Boys' High School (ABHS) celebrated on 15th January, Monday here at Bhatkal, in which"Waqar-e-Islami" and "Waqar-e-Anjuman" awards were given to the respective outstanding student.
The 'Wiqar-e-Islamia' was awarded to Mohammed Amr s/o Jailani Akrami, of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School. 'Wiqar-e-Anjuman' award was conferred to Ameer s/o Muneer Mohiddin Muallim of Anjuman Boys High School (ABHS).
Present as the chief guest in the event, Dr. Syed Qadeer Nazim Sargiro, Chairman, Karnataka Urdu Academy, lauded the management of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen and said that it is among the successful management since decades in solving the problems of the students and making them impressive in the field of education. He also added saying that we need to obtain an education to gain knowledge rather than to gain success. He further urged students to use the modern technology for the purpose of studies and avoid the illicit use of these services.
Mr. Askeri Tajuddin Saheb was present as guest of honour in the gathering.
Earlier in the morning session, prize distribution ceremony was held, where Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal, HOD of MBA department Prof. Zahir Hasan Kharuri was the chief guest. Student achievers in extra-curricular activities like sports, Social workers, NCC cadets, scout rovers etc were given prizes by the hands of esteemed guests present.
Syed Abdur Rahman Batin, Vice-president of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen presided over the function.
The program commenced with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by Muhammed Amar followed by Naat was sung by Muhammed Shuaib Naite, School Anthem was sung by students. Headmasters of IAUHS and ABHS, Shabbir Ahmed Dafedar, and Mohiddin Khattal presented their School’s annual report. Additional Secretary of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Ishaque Shabandri welcomed the guests and Vote of Thanks was given by Abdur Rasheed Mirzani.
On the dais, Qamar Sada, Vice President-I AHM Abdul Rahim Damudi, General Secretary Ismail Siddique, Secretary High Schools Board Abdul Wajid Kola and many others were present.
