Ankola: A 28-Year-Old bike rider died instantly on the spot after a speeding truck approaching in the opposite direction rammed over him in the ghastly road accident that occurred near Heggar cross NH-63 in Ankola taluk on 28th October, Saturday evening.

The deceased was identified as Krishna Gonda.

Sources from Ankola informed that the incident reported when the bike coming towards Ankola from Yellapur had a head-on collision with the truck. It might be noted that during the incident the bike was overtaking another vehicle, which as a result of losing the control of the vehicle, both had a collision with each other.

In this regard, a case has been registered in Ankola police station and investigations are on.
