Ankola: A 30-year-old youth was killed on the spot in an accident between a car and a lorry that took place near Hulidevarawad petrol bunk on national highway-66 in Ankola on Wednesday. The victim was travelling in the car. 

The deceased has been identified Anwar Abdul Khadar, a resident of Manjeshwar of Kerala. Car driver Mahammed Sharif and Mahammed Ishaq suffered serious injuries in the accident. They were admitted to the district hospital in Karwar.  

The car rammed into the lorry from behind. The front of the portion of the car was damaged completely due to the impact of the accident. A case has been registered at Ankola police station.
