Kumta: Farooqui Mohalla Jamaat Ul Muslimeen conducted its annual function here at Urdu school ground beside Farooqui Juma Masjid in Kagal, Kumta on 22nd February, Thursday after Isha prayer onwards. The program commenced with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Abdul Rahman Budvant. Later a brief session was held wherein students of the locality were given an opportunity to showcase their skills in Quran recitation, Nazm and Hadith presentation.

Present as the chief guest, Imam & Khateeb of Kumta Jamia Masjid, Maulana Minnatullah Qasmi addressing the gathering lauded Jamaat for hosting an event which encouraged students to showcase their talents. The children should be brought up with the teachings of Islam, which will enlighten their future, he added.

Khateeb of Vanalli Jamia Masjid Mufti Maulana Zakriya Nadvi including other scholars too spoke on the occasion and stressed upon following the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The program was presided over by Hussain Posge, president of Farooqi mohalla Jamatul Muslimeen, Kumta. Ali Tanji welcomed the guests and audience, while Ayub Bhikba and Muhammed Gouse compered the event and the vote of thanks was delivered by Iqbal Tadadikar.

On this occasion, Qazi Jamat Ul Muslimeen Heni Maulana Abdur Rahman Dangi, Hafiz Hussain Kawa, and others were present on the dais.
