Mangaluru: The Bhatkali Jamaat Ul Muslimeen Mangaluru held its annual get-together program here at the picturesque Boat club on the banks of Gurupur river at Sultan Battery, Mangalore, where various programs including quiz competition were held.

General secretary of Jamaat, Mr. Imtiyaz Damda presented the annual report while SM Ashfaque, internal auditor,  presented the accounts. Presiding the event, president of BJM Mangaluru, SM Arshad, said, a special cell has been set up for the people of Bhatkal especially to help Gulf returnees.

Entertaining games including quiz were played between the members on the occasion to have fun and enjoyment in the gathering.

The program began with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Ismail Mohammed Ashfaque Akrama while Abdurrahman Aftab Kola translated the Arabic recitation in English. Maulana Saalim Khalifa Nadvi stressed upon the members to stay in touch with the Jamaat and come forward in serving the community. On the occasion, Ex-president of BJM Mangaluru Jan Abdur Rahman and others too expressed their views.

Aftab Kola compered the event, while secretary Talha Akrami delivered the vote of thanks.
