Bhatkal: Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) is  a national based organization which fights to provide justice to the oppressed youths of the country especially to the ones who are put behind the bars for the crime they haven't committed. The Association has appealed to the public to support them with the financial aid in this holy month of Ramazan.

Issuing a press release, state general secretary of APCR, Niyaz Ahmed said that APCR strives to bring justice to the innocent prisoners who have been wrongly charged on terrorism cases. It also provides financial support to the family members of the individuals who have been imprisoned on the wrong allegation. According to Niyaz Ahmed, APCR Karnataka chapter is working on its laws with full efficiency. One of biggest achievements of APCR was releasing an innocent youth of Bhatkal, Maulavi Shabbir Gangawali, who was jailed on the charges of terrorism. He was pronounced innocent after surviving 8 years in jail. Apart from this, APCR Karnataka zone has been successful in solving dozens of cases and providing justice to number of innocent prisoners.

Expressing his thoughts, he further stated that the youth of the country were facing a number of legal problems. And it is obvious that there is a need for financial support to provide such a legal aid to the oppressed. 

It shall be noted that APCR is a non-government organization (NGO) which serves the humanity with the support from its fellow members. The APCR is now appealing the people to come forward in extending their support with financial aid this Ramazan by gifting Zakat fund in the name of APCR.
