Bhatkal: Bhatkal Urban Co-operative Bank has been selected for ‘Banco Puraskar-2017’ award at ‘Advantage-2018’ training programme organised by Avies Publication, Kolhapur, and Pune’s Galaxy, held at Hyderabad, from January 18 to 20. 

Bank Chairman Abdul Majid Chougale & Manager of main branch Shambhu Hegde, received the award.

More than 500 co-operative banks from various parts of the country had taken part in the programme. Bhatkal Urban Bank was chosen for achieving total business of more than Rs 500 crore.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali presented the awards. It may be recalled that Bhatkal Urban Bank had won the same award last year under the category of banks with Rs 251 crore to Rs 500 crore total business, for successfully adopting technology in rendering good customer service.
