Karwar: The Karwar branch of IMA has been awarded as the best branch at the state level in a meeting held at Gadag on 27th and 28th October. 

According to the press release issued by the Indian Medical Association, state president of Indian Medical Association, Dr. Rajshekar Ballari had inaugurated the Karwar branch of IMA, which was formed by 100 doctors belonging to Karwar Medical Science Association.

He had expressed his pleasure and satisfaction over the medical activities and public services of the Karwar Medical Science Association and later he nominated the association for the award. 

In the release, it was also said that after the association was nominated, the award was given during the IMA state-level meeting held at Gadag on 27th and 28th October. Dr. Suresh Bhat accepted the award on behalf of the association.
