Mangaluru: Thieves have stolen batteries of eight lorries owned by Aithappa Poojary and his children at Vamanjoor on 2nd July, Monday night.

The eight lorries were used in the transportation of tiles, laterite stones and sand. The drivers had parked the lorries in a vacant land belonging to Poojary on Monday evening.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning. The value of the stolen batteries is Rs 40,000.
