Bengaluru:  Five persons, including a 10- year-old girl, were killed today when a car crashed into a bus stand at Lakkenahalli in Ramanagara district, police said.

Of the five, four persons, including the girl, were waiting for a bus, while the other deceased was a passenger of the car, the police said, adding that the three other occupants of the car were also injured in the incident.

Of those injured, the condition of a woman, who received serious head injuries, was critical, the police said, adding that she had been referred to the NIMHANS in Bengaluru.

According to the police, there were four persons in the car, which was headed towards Hassan. The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into the bus stand.

The car was badly damaged, the police said.
