Bhatkal: Anjuman Girls’ English Medium High School, Nawayat Colony, has announced the Dukhtar-e-Anjuman Gold Medal Award for two brilliant and outstanding students — Zainab Safa D/o Abdul Samee Gawai, and Shiza D/o Nadeem Ahmed Shabandri. The announcement was made during the school’s annual gathering held on Sunday, 7 December. Both students will jointly receive this prestigious award for the academic year 2025–26.
The annual gathering was celebrated with great enthusiasm, during which several students excelling in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports were awarded prizes by the distinguished guests. However, the prestigious Dukhtar-e-Anjuman Gold Medal will be formally presented during the special Anjuman Day ceremony scheduled for 14 December.
During the annual gathering, students showcased their multifaceted talents in a remarkable manner. Speeches emphasized that young girls must break societal barriers, pursue education with confidence, and remain determined to achieve their dreams.
The program commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Quran by ninth-grade student Rauza, followed by a Naat and the Anjuman Anthem. The introduction and welcome of guests were presented by Fathima Hafsa, while the annual school report was delivered by the Headmistress, Saba Damda.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Dr. Naiyyarin (MBBS), stressed the importance for girls today to work hard, utilize their abilities fully, and challenge outdated societal perceptions. The guest of honor, Mrs. Vinutha H, Block Resource Person (Bhatkal), highlighted that education and consistent effort form the foundation for success in life.
The president of the session, Ms. Seema Kashimji, in her presidential address, praised the school’s achievements, the dedication of the students, and the support of the teaching staff.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Aysha Fasiha.
Following the formal proceedings, colorful cultural performances were presented by students of various classes, including dramas, poetry recitations, patriotic songs, traditional dances, and creative displays — all showcasing their exceptional talents. With the combined efforts of teachers, students, parents, and the school administration, the annual gathering concluded on a joyful and memorable note.
