Bhatkal: Bhatkal BJP unit announced that they will stage rasta roko protest in Bhatkal today, Thursday.

In a press release issued by the Bhatkal BJP unit president Rajesh Naik, it accused the Bhatkal MLA of being responsible for sand scarcity in Bhatkal, and also blamed the officers for neglecting to solve the issue. Instead of solving the issue MLA is playing blame games due to which the matter is getting worse. Even the officers are also not paying attention to the problem. So taking all this into consideration, BJP will stage a rasta roko protest in Bhatkal on 15th December at 10:30am.

During the protest the effigy of MLA will also be burnt, he added. He demanded that the sand issue should be solved immediately, as the poor, middle class and labour class people are most affected due to unavailability of sand in Bhatkal. Rajesh Naik also requested all the members of BJP and local people to take part in the protest and make it successful.
