Yeddyurappa says will take up Bhatkal riots panel reports

Bhatkal: BJP State unit President B S Yeddyurappa, on Tuesday, said that if the party comes to power in the upcoming assembly election,  it would take immediate steps to go take up the Jagannath Shetty and Ramchandra Commission reports, which was were set up to probe the Bhatkal riots, assassinations and transportation of explosives. Later, appropriate steps would be taken to crackdown all such issues, he added.

Briefing reporters at Murdeshwar, he charged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led ruling government and Kerala government of being responsible for the students of both state joining the IS.

Take measures

BJP, he assured, would take measures to eliminate terrorist activities completely from the State. It is shameful that legislators and minister of ruling Congress Party are not attending the assembly session at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi. He charged large scale fraud in the purchase of laptops in the Education Department, to the tune of Rs 300 crore.

George’s resignation

Demanding the resignation Minister for Bengaluru Development & Urban Planning KJ George over the incident of DySp M K Ganapathy’s alleged suicide, he said, BJP would continue press for his resignation in the assembly.

He said he foresaw a day when D K Shivkumar himself would resign his port, and once BJP comes to power, all scams of Siddaramaiah led government would be investigated within 24 hours of being sworn in.
