Bhatkal: A young sportsman from the town, Muhammed Sufiyan Akrami s/o Abdul Majeed Sultan Akrami who is studying in Bangalore college, has been selected as a university blue Kabaddi player for Vishveshwarayya Technological University (VTU) team. 

Sufiyan is a student of Oxford college of engineering in Bengaluru. 

Sources informed that Bhatkal boy Sufiyan will be representing VTU in South Zone Inter-University Kabaddi Tournament at Satyabama University in Chennai. He plays for Cosmos Sports Center in Bhatkal.

Many sports organisations of Bhatkal congratulated Sufiyan for his selection at VTU team.
