Bhatkal: The TMC shops issue is a legal matter and a very complicated one. It should be taken seriously and only then a solution can be achieved. These views were expressed by the Union minister and Uttara Kannada MP Anant Kumar Hegde.

Ananth Kumar was addressing the party workers during his visit to Bhatkal on 30th September, Saturday evening. He said that the state government is finding reasons for arresting the leaders of Hindu organizations and the arrest of Jagdeesh Karanth is a fresh example of this. This is also happening in the Bhatkal taluk.

He said that he has spoken to the officials regarding the arrest of Hindu leaders relating to the TMC issue and assured that they will not exceed their limits. Bhatkal is an area of conflict and confusion, and hence, no one need to be afraid of the arrests.

He then visited the house of deceased Ramachandra Naik and arrested Krishna Naik and Govind Naik, talked to their family members and offered his condolences.

Former MLA J D Naik, Vice president of KASCARD Bank Ishwar Naik, BJP Bhatkal Mandala President Rajesh Naik and others were present on this occasion.
