Bhatkal: MLA Mankal Vaidya, who has represented the Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency and garnered significant support from multiple communities, has been appointed as the district incharge minister for Uttara Kannada.

He is also serving as the Minister for Fisheries, Ports, and Inland Transport in the Congress-led government under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, bringing valuable experience to his new role.

His appointment as the district incharge minister coincides with the commencement of a new phase of ministry in the Uttara Kannada district.
