Bhatkal — With the onset of the monsoon, tourists have been barred from entering the Arabian Sea at the popular tourist destination of Murdeshwar. The decision has been taken as a precautionary safety measure by the Tourism Department, Mavalli Gram Panchayat, and Murudeshwar Police, who have jointly installed warning banners and notice boards along the beach to alert the public.
During the monsoon season, rough sea conditions and high tidal waves pose serious risks to human life. In light of this danger, authorities impose an annual ban on venturing into the sea, which remains in effect throughout the rainy season.
Murudeshwar Police have appealed to tourists and the general public to cooperate with safety guidelines and avoid visiting the shoreline during the restriction period to prevent any untoward incidents.
