Bhatkal: A girl student ended life by hanging herself at Kanamadlu Bommanakere in Bhatkal taluk on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Kavana Manjunath Naik (17). She took this extreme step when there was no one at the home. 

She was studying PU at Baindur in Udupi district.

A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
