Bhatkal: Opener Nisar Ahmed Shareef hammered unbeaten 80 Runs as Anfa win by 9 wickets by beating Shaheen Makhdoom in the final of the Dr. Mohammed Haneef Kola trophy to seal their third consecutive title at the Taluka Stadium YMSA Ground Bhatkal on Sunday.The tournamnet is organised by Haneef Welfare Association, Bhatkal.
Anfa chased the target in 18th overs.
Earlier, Shaheen Makhdoom won the toss and elected to bat, as captain Nabeel scored 38 runs. Anfa bowlers came up with a disciplined bowling effort to restrict Shaheen Makhdoom to 128/10. Abdul Baqi Kharurui and Naseef was the pick of the Anfa bowlers, picking three wickets each and Syed Imran Lanka picked two wickets.
Winning ANFA team was awarded an attractive trophy and a cash prize of 40,000 INR, while runners-up Shaheen Makhdoom received a cash prize of 25,000 INR with the trophy.
Man of the final was awarded to Nisar Ahmed shareef for his unbeaten 80 runs.
Other awards declared at the closing ceremony included player of the tournament which was awarded to Aejaz Ahmed of Shaheen Makhdoom (275 Runs and 10 wickets), while the fair play award for discipline team of the tournament was bagged by Lion Sports Centre. Mugaira MJ of Haneef Welfare Association (247 Runs) and Muhammed Talha of Royal (10 Wickets) managed to take up Best Batsman and Best Bowler of the tournament respectively.
