Bhatkal: Auto drivers in Bunder road in the town, registered their protest against the dilapidated condition of Bhatkal's state highway, by planting saplings in the middle of the road.

Auto drivers said that just a few months after the construction of the state highway, the condition of road is beyond description. Pits and rainwater have accumulated everywhere, making it difficult for riders and passers-by. Street street lights are still unable to provide light. 

The protesters appealed to the concerned department to immediately pay attention to this and repair it, else a huge protest will be launched in the coming days.  

On this occasion, Shriniwas Naik, Pandu Naik, Shivaram Gonda, Shridhar Gonda, Narasimha Dewadiga, Gaju Naik, Mohan Naik, Madhu Naik etc. were present.
