Kumta: In a bizarre road accident that happened on NH-66 near Hiregutti check post in the taluk, a bike rider after coming underneath a lorry, escaped with minor injuries after his bike got skidded just in front of the moving vehicle. But luckily, the major tragedy was averted due to the immediate attention of lorry driver. The incident happened on 20th November, Monday morning.

The injured was identified as Manjunath Ambig, a resident of Kodkani was shifted to Kumta govt hospital for initial treatments. Later he was transferred to Mangaluru hospital.
