Mangaluru: In a ghastly road accident that happened in between the bus and the bike, the bike rider was killed on the spot, who was identified as Madhusudan Kamat, aged 61, of Sukhanand Nagar in Karnad near Mulki. The accident took place on 5th February, Monday evening at around 8 pm in Mulki.

According to the sources, the accident happened when the bus coming from Mangaluru hit a bike, who was returning to his home. The impact of the collision was such that the bike along with the rider was dragged up to 100 meters from the spot. This made the rider receive serious injuries and succumbed to it instantly.

The locals blame for the reckless driving of bus as the reason for the mishap. The deceased was an employee at a Syndicate bank.

As the information was received, Mangaluru North police rushed to the spot and conducted necessary investigations and filed the case in this regard.
