Karwar: BJP district unit members protested in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office, in the City, on Monday, demanding the resignations of Bengaluru Development & Town Planning Minister K J Gorge and Mines & Geology Minister Vinay Kulkarni.

Many ministers are facing serious allegations in many cases. Even then, the State government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has not taken any action against them, BJP leader J D Naik charged.

The Congress government is protecting the ministers, accused of murders, resulting in panic among the public, he added. 



Several allegations

There are allegations that Minister George was involved in the death of DySP Ganapathy.

Besides, Minister Vinay Kulkarni was involved in the murder of Dharwad ZP member Yogesh Gowda. Moreover, he is protecting the killers, involved in the murder, charged Pramod Hegde.

The agitators demanded that both the ministers immediately resign from their posts.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Governor through Additional Deputy Commissioner H Prasanna, urging him to instruct the State government to seek the resignations of George and Kulkarni.

BJP district unit President K J Naik, Leaders Roopali Naik, Yashodhar Naik, Jagadish Naik, Rajesh Naik and others were present.
