Kumta: A dead body was noticed floating on Arabian Sea in Gokarna of Kumta taluq yesterday on Sunday, but was recovered by the police today in the early hours with the help of lifeguards. The body wasn't able to recover yesterday as there were a high tides in the sea.

Sources informed that no kind of identification with regard to the body has been made yet. It is suspected that it might be of a tourist who had arrived to the beach to swim on Sunday.

A case has been registered in Gokarna police station and further investigations are on.
