Karwar: Traffic jam was observed on the National Highway 66 for more than two hours, on 3rd March Saturday, after a huge boulder slipped and rolled onto the road near Sankrubagh region, in Karwar taluk.
As the existing National Highway is being widened into a four-lane, the labourers were blasting the stone.
The vehicular movement on the road was briefly halted for sometime as a result.
However, a boulder slipped and rolled onto the national highway causing traffic jam. Panic gripped among those present at the site resulting in confusion for sometime.
