Thiruvananthapuram:  Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan on Sunday urged Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar to take steps to bring back Malayalees standard in Kazakhstan.

In a letter to the Union Minister, the Opposition leader demanded immediate steps to ensure the security of Malayalees in Kazhakhstan affected with the ongoing wave of violent unrest.

He sought the Central Minister's immediate intervention to bring back Malayalees from Kazhakhstan.
