Mangaluru: A broad daylight theft reported at Nadupadavu region in Konaje police station limits on 9th December, Saturday, where the thieves gained entry into a house and decamped with 40 pawn gold ornaments.
According to sources, the house which was traced by the thieves belongs to Ashok Kumar Shetty of Nadupadavu. The incident occurred when no one was at the house. Shetty’s wife had been to the annual day celebrations at her son’s school in BC Road.
The incident came to light when she returned home in the afternoon. The thieves had broken open the main door of the house. It is said that the family had shifted to their new house just two weeks ago.
