Mangaluru:  A late-night burglary spree on Saturday saw a thief target 12 shops at B C Road Kaikamba in Bantwal. 

The thief was successful in stealing Rs 61,000 in cash from three different stores.

The thief stole Rs 52,000 from a mobile phone recharge shop in Kaikamba, Rs 6,000 from a hotel, and Rs 3,000 from another store. Attempts were also made to break into nearby cooperative associations, but these were unsuccessful.

The thief, who was wearing a helmet and arrived on a bike during a rainy Saturday night, was captured on CCTV cameras. Police are actively searching for the suspect.
