Haliyal: The Siddaramaiah government has gone closer to the people to fulfil their aspirations and almost all the prepoll promises made in the Congress manifesto have been fulfilled, claimed District Minister R V Deshpande. After inaugurating a bus depot constructed at a cost of over Rs 4.5 crore on the outskirts of Haliyal town on Saturday, Deshpande announced that Haliyal, Dandeli and Joida would soon get ultra-modern bus stands. He asked the NWKRTC officers and staff to be duty-conscious as their organisation was purely service-oriented. NWKRTC chairman Sadanand Danganavar, managing director Pandurang Nayak, MLC S L Ghotnekar and others were presents.
