Honnavar: In a tragic road accident, a bus full of passengers toppled near Yalaguppa region in Honnavar taluk on 24th December, Sunday morning, as a result, two persons killed on the spot and more than 10 were reported injured.

Sources said that the incident happened when the bus was on the way towards Chikkamagaluru from Karwar when it lost the control of the driver and toppled. The incident was such a disgusting that one of the passenger was also seen sandwiched between the bus and the ground.

The deceased were identified as M.Sangeetha Lingayya (30) of Mysuru and Preetam Siddalingappa (09) of Hubballi.

As the information was alerted, the police personnel rushed to the spot conduct necessary investigations. All the injured were immediately taken to Honnavar govt hospital for initial treatments, while two amongst the injured who sustained severe injuries were later rushed to Manipal hospital for advanced treatment.

More than 30 passengers were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident. The belonged to KSRTC.
