He noted this while delivering a special lecture, on the occasion of Kittur Rani Chennamma Jayanti Celebrations, jointly organized by District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Kannada & Culture Department, on Monday.
Karnataka is a land of dynamic and vibrant personalities. In special, North Karnataka is popularly known as land of brave warriors, among whom Rani Chennamma, who fought against the British with great courage is an inspiration to all, he opined.
Her expressed on war filed disturbed the British and made them panic. Her determination, dedication and sacrifice in the freedom struggle should be remembered, he said.
He expressed happiness over the celebration of Chennamma Jayanti, which will help to create awareness about the contributions of Rani Channamma, among the young generation.
