Case registered against sub registrar

Karwar: sub registrar lodged complaint with Karwar town police station against in-charge sub registrar Kishor Badkar of misusing Rs 3.3crore government’s revenue which was supposed to be deposited to government exchequer.

 According to sources, Rs 2.35crore demand draft and Rs 1.35 crore cash was collected and it was suppose to be submitted to government treasurer.

 But Kishor Badkar who was incharge sub registrar of Karwar in between June 2017 to April 2018 has given Rs 41 lakh to government and misused remaining revenue.

 After collecting revenue, it should be entered in government’s Kaveri software and the money should be deposited with government’s bank account. Badkar entered in software but failed to deposit in bank. When the officials checked the money details with bank account and software, they came to know about the misuse of money in Karwar sub registrar office.

 After primary inquiry, the officials suspended Badkar and inquiry is on. However on Wednesday, Karwar sub registrar Ariyappa Chomu Naik registered police complaint against Badkar at Karwar town police station.
