Karwar: District Namadhari Arya Ediga Welfare Association members submitted a memorandum to Additional Deputy Commissioner Suresh Itnal in Karwar, on Tuesday, seeking proper probe into the cases filed against Hindu community leaders Suraj Naik Soni of Kumta and Shankar Naik of Bhatkal.

They charged that the cases were filed against Suraj and Shankar with malafide intention. Both are responsible persons. They are engaged in various social service activities.

A thorough probe should be conducted into this and action should be taken against the erring officials, association members said.
