Kundapur: The Byndoor police in the early hours of Saturday, seized 12 cattle along with a mini-truck in which it was allegedly being transported illegally after receiving a prior information from the sources. The incident took place near Shiroor village of Kundapur taluk.

The accused, however, managed to make a good escape from the spot.

According to the sources, the cattle were stuffed in a Tata Ace pickup and were transported from Byndoor.

Byndoor police waylaid the said vehicle at Shiroor as they got definite prior information about the act. Police are investigating the case.
