Ankola: MLA Satish Sail distributed cheques under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), which includes Rs 20,000 for people who need financial assistance at Tahsildar office auditorium, in Ankola, on Thursday.

The beneficiaries were Pushpa N Gowda of Harwad, Baby C Gowda of Belambar, Parvati U Gowda of Hosagadde, Anusuya T Balavalikar of Belekeri, Savita Badkar of Ankola, Nagamma S Gowda of Alageri, Nagaveni Gowda, Aarti R Naik, Akshata R Naik, Pushpa S Gowda, Rekha Nagesh Shetty and others.

Sail assured financial contribution of Rs 10,000 from himself and additional from Chief Minister’s compensation fund for family of Tekappa Naik, suffering from heart problem, and admitted at A J Hospital, in Mangaluru.

State Fisheries Development Corporation President Rajendra Naik, Taluk Panchayat standing committee President Manjunath Naik, Tahsildar Vivek Shenvi, N B Gunaga, leaders Ganpati Gunaga, Pandurang Gowda and others were present.
