In the Karnataka by-elections the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Sindgi assembly constituency while the Congress claimed victory on the Hangal seat.
Bhusanur Ramesh Balappa, who was fielded by BJP, won the Sindgi constituency by 31,185 margins of votes over Congress's Ashok Mallappa Managuli.

A Delhi Court has reserved order on Jawahar Lal Nehru University student and activist Sharjeel Imam's bail plea in a case related to alleged inflammatory and instigating speeches during the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).
The Court is likely to pronounce order on the bail application of Imam on November 15.

Petrol and diesel prices witnessed a hike for the seventh consecutive day across the country on Tuesday.
In Delhi, with an increase of Rs 0.35 in petrol and diesel prices, their cost rose to Rs 110.04 per litre and Rs 98.42 per litre respectively today.
In the country's financial capital, Mumbai, the petrol and diesel prices increased to Rs 115.85 per litre and Rs 106.62 per litre respectively.

At least 19 people were killed and 50 others injured in an attack on a military hospital in Kabul on Tuesday, the latest assault to rock Afghanistan since the Taliban seized power.
