Karwar: Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde, on Friday, proclaimed that the last rites of the Congress Party in the State would be conducted on May 15.

Continuing his tirade against the Congress, at the BJP Yuva Morcha Convention, at Honnavar, he said, this was a party that plays politics based on its cheap culture. Looting people, creating communal tension, dividing society has been top agenda of Congress.

Failure of Congress

In its 60 years rule, it could create asset of Rs 17 lakh crore only, while BJP in its five year rule has created national asset worth Rs 7 lakh crore.

In this regard, Hegde said, the party would soon be bringing out a chargesheet detailing the corruption during its tenure as also inform the people on the failure of the Congress MLAs in the district.

Some leaders in BJP may be unaware of the organising strength of the party. Already, a poll strategy has been stitched to ensure Karnataka would be rid of Congress.

The winning spree of BJP will continue, he exuded confidence.

Traditional perceptions

Observing that the Congress was still utilising the amount announced in the budget presented by b S Yeddyruppa when he was the chief minister, Hegde charged that the Congress Party had taken a loan of Rs 2.50 lakh crore putting the State’s economy in doldrums.

Pointing out that traditional perceptions like caste, region and others would have no role to play in the upcoming elections to the State Assembly, Hegde asserted that BJP would register a thumping win and form the government once again.

BJP district president K G Naik, Yuva Morcha district president Manjunath Jannu, Deepak Shet and others also spoke.
